Land of Ardyl

Each land will have two main quests, which are randomly picked out of a list of six quests per land. here are the six possible quests you will encounter in the Land of Ardyl.

Free the Unicorn

You will come across a Unicorn who has been padlocked and chained to a post. The fairy says that her friend was tricked by an evil wizard and asks you to free him and asks you to take her with you.

Put the fairy in your inventory and go though the levels, you will come across a gates that you can't open, use the fairy to open the gates. There will be one level where she will enter the room, but she will be captured by Felder, the evil wizard. Kill Felder and get the fairy who is in a cage on the right side of the wall. She will tell you that she got a key from his pocket and will give it to you, before disappearing. Free the unicorn using this key and talk to the fairy again, who will give you a crystal.

Song of the Snake

When wandering the Land of Ardyl, you will come across a Fairy Lake, click on the drum beside the lake and it will summon a fairy from the depths, she will play a tune on a reed and tell you it's called the song of the snake, she will say that you play the reeds from the smallest to largest in order to achieve the same sound.

Going through the levels you will find various reeds, all in different sizes, inside chests. There are five in total; two on the first level and on the other three levels there is one reed each.

Once you have all the reeds, head towards 'The Mouth Room'. The first few snakes you can kill using a spell or ranged weapon before you place the reeds (in size order from smallest to largest) in to the mouths of the faces on  the wall. The reeds should play the same tune the fairy played at the start of the quest and send all of the snakes into a deep sleep, which will allow you to kill them all without the risk of getting harmed yourself.

Grab the crystal and you've completed the quest.

N.B  If you can't find all of the reeds, do not worry, you can still complete the task by killing all the snakes when they are alive, it's just harder.

Jealous Witch

When you find a village with stone people, the men will tell you that a witch called Mika cursed all the ladies who were prettier than she, in a jealous rage. This happens to be every woman in the village.  You can go and talk to Mika but she won't reverse the spell.

Head to level two where you will find a room with no monsters willed with crates and vases and chests, ion one of these you will find The Mirror of Truth. Obviously this is no good for Mika because she really is the ugliest person you've seen, but if you go to the fourth level you will fin Elas - a man looking into a mirror who thinks he's ugly and is too ashamed to get married - give this mirror to him and he will thank you, he isn't ugly after all. He will give you The Mirror of Lies, which makes the ugly seem beautiful and the beautiful; ugly.

Go back up to Mika and give her this mirror, and she will reverse the spell she'd put on the village. Go to the village and talk to one of the men and they will give you the crystal.

Genna's Poisoning

Find a camp with two tents and a horse, you will see a woman named Genna is sick. If you open the chest in the other tent, you will find a letter that proved Gutrick  poisoned her using a potion he bought off a wizard named Ger. Give the letter to Gutrick and he says he will help you get the antidote, he will start to follow you, lead him to Ger, the wizard who will tell you he doesn't have an antidote ready.

He will give you a cup and tell you to fill it from the fountain of light.

You must enter the dungeons an find four crystals through the levels and bring them all back to the fountain of light. Place the crystals on the podiums, directing the light to the centre of the room and place the cup on the middle podium and it will fill up.

Give the cup to Genna and she will be healed and will give you a crystal.

Horn of Plenty

The Horn of Plenty - a villages only source of food - has been stolen. They have sent a man to find it, but he has not returned.

Go to level one by going down the ladder and you will find the spirit of Riken, the man who was sent by the village, and he will ask you go return the Horn of Plenty to his village for him.

In the following levels you will find a Fire and an Ice Golem, you kill them both to get the fire and ice spheres from them, you can also apparently steal the spheres from the Golems, but I have not tried this to be able to confirm it.

In a later level Riken will ask for the spheres and in return will give you a Cloak of Clouds, which will allows you to walk through the walls of Zoram's lair.  You have to kill Zoram, I suggest using  a reflection spell, and retrieve the horn of plenty. Return it to the villagers and Riken will thank you and give you a crystal.

The Sun Cross

You will stumble upon an antique dealer named Drakus, who will ask you to bring him the Sun Cross after he tells you that it was stolen from him by the clan of Kaliba. He promises a reward for its return.

Work your way down the levels, and on level four you will find an old bearded man dressed in blue, who is called Gondor. He will tell you that you have to pass a test to become a member of Kaliba - so you can return to the Temple of Kaliba and retrieve the Sun Cross.

You have to look for a key, in the trial room and to do so, you have to flip the switches to open the four rooms to find the key. In three of the cells there are monsters; a spider, a lizard-man and a spectre and the other cell contains the key, which you need to proceed to the next room. The switch for each cell is never the one beside it.

In the next room there is a man who is tied down and Gondor tell you he is a criminal, you can either kill him to get the key or you can flip the switch at the end of the room, either way you will have to fight a load of spiders that will run at you.

In the next room you have to choose a weapon, it doesn't matter which one you choose, because you can still use your own weapon anyway,  and Gondor will give you an amulet that you wear to get into the temple.

Make your way back up to the temple (on the third level) and you will find a dead man outside, if you search him, you will find a letter which tells you about the secret passage inside the temple.

Once you're inside, you will see a suncross upon an alter and monks scattered about the place.

Do not take the sun Cross on the alter, firstly you will be accused by the monks for stealing the Sun Cross, they will turn into spectres and attack you, then when you take the Cross to Drakus, he will tell you that it is a fake.

When you enter the temple, you should look on the right side of the room for a torch, near a bookcase, click on the torch and your character will open the secret passage. You will see a tomb, once you click the tomb a skeleton will emerge and attack you, kill him and retrieve the Sun Cross and give it to Drakus.  He will turn himself and his men into monsters and try to kill you, slay them and grab the crystal.
